Description We are offering a contract for a Medical Billing Specialist position in Richmond, Virginia. As a part of our team, you will primarily focus on medical billing tasks, managing patient accounts, following up on insurance claims, and ensuring accurate billing and coding practices. Responsibilities: • Accurately process medical billing and coding tasks • Keep track of all patient account balances and follow up on any outstanding ones within a designated timeline • Handle all returned claims, correspondences, denials, and account reconciliations promptly to ensure maximum reimbursement and patient satisfaction • Submit primary and secondary insurance claims electronically on a daily basis to secure timely reimbursement • Provide pertinent information regarding billing, coding, and insurance carriers when required • Ensure all claims are rebilled whenever necessary, maintaining a smooth flow of the billing process.
