Job Description

To provide quantitative and qualitative assessments of the current and forecast financial strength of a portfolio of corporate clients with the aim to identify portfolio related credit risks.Manage lending limitsManage database and provide input regarding limits, ratings, Loss Given Default (LGD) and governance monitoringSuggest risk mitigating measures as input to structure transactions in line with the risk philosophy of the BankManage credit risk appetite (limits) by scrutinizing current portfolio exposuresKeep portfolio current by reviewing at least once in a 12-month period Identify transaction specific risks including credit, taxation, accounting and legalDocument findings for approval committeeAct as a bridge between risk and business on contentious issuesRemain objective and present both arguments and pros and cons Forecast, analyse financials and collate dataParticipate in meetings with senior stakeholderS

Qualifications & Experience:Ideally CA (SA) or CFA or Finance Honours with relevant credit analyst experience within Investment Banking, although a newly qualified CA (SA) or a graduate whose degree has a strong quantitative focus will be considered, provided that the graduate has had exposure to finance and/or accounting.
