Credit Analyst
Description Robert Half is partnering with a growing distribution company in Littleton, CO to hire a direct hire Credit Analyst to their team. Some highlights of the credit analyst responsiblities are: + Reviews files to select delinquent accounts for collection efforts + Makes collection calls on assigned group of accounts and processes necessary correspondence with internal teams and external customers + Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts + Sets and or reduces credit limits by analyzing and assessing creditworthiness of existing and prospective customers including review of credit reports, financials statements and other third-party reports to make credit decisions that balance sales growth and risk mitigation + Evaluates customer records and recommends that accounts be closed, credit limit reduced or extended, or collection attempted, based on earnings data, payment history, and purchase activity of customer + Responsible for timely order review of assigned accounts and making decisions to hold or release based on specific set of criteria + Confers with representatives of credit associations and other businesses to exchange information concerning credit ratings and forwarding addresses + Interviews customers via telephone to investigate complaints, verify accuracy of charges, or to correct errors in accounts + Creates and maintains databases on activity conducted in all accounts + Prepares reports on current findings and suggested action to be taken for all accounts to be written-off + Assists in the recommendation of policies to upper management + Meets defined department goals and metrics + Partners with sales and management when necessary to accelerate the collection process, resolve disputes, and communicates effectively with the sales team + Communicates with Accounting team to resolve misapplied payments, partial payments, advances, and chargebacks, and process refunds + Maintains customer sales tax status and valid exemption certificates + Maintains positive relationships with all branch personnel and customers while asking tough questionsh Requirements + Strong working knowledge of the credit and collections process + Applicable laws, codes, regulations, standards, methods, and practices related to credit and collections for a for-profit entity + Sales tax for multiple states + Standard office practices and procedures + Software applications related to accounting systems + Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software such as Excel and Outlook + Principles and techniques of technical record keeping Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
