Job Summary

Responsible for the complete maintenance of customer accounts assigned to the portfolio. This includes contacting customers or internal business partners to collect on outstanding debts and assessing creditworthiness of new and existing customers. Strive to reduce debt exposure, while promoting customer goodwill and respecting company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Responsible for collection activity on customer accounts within assigned portfolio. This involves regular contact with customers via emails, phone calls or vendor portals and internal partners regarding past due or dispute related items. In addition, updating collection efforts to support timely and consistent follow up. (45%) Review blocked orders, to determine if order can be released based on resolution of item causing credit hold. (20%) Respond in a timely manner to requests related to customer account, invoice, or payment issues. (10%) Review AR Aging routinely and provide updates to management on monthly basis (5%) Evaluate new and existing customers to establish credit limits through credit investigations, financial information, and customer requirements. (10%) Work with internal partners to ensure customer master data is accurate and any changes are processed. (5%) Provide support on additional duties assigned by manager. (5%)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Degree in business, accounting or finance is preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Credit & Collections field is desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Understanding of account debit and credit reconciliation is strongly desired Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for internal and external customers SAP Experience strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
