Credit Analyst
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Credit Analyst for our client based in Houston, Texas. This role primarily focuses on analyzing and interpreting credit data and financial information to assess the suitability of our offerings and risk profile. The Credit Analyst will also play a key role in underwriting for construction equipment and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of inventory and floor plan financing. Responsibilities: • Analyze and interpret credit data and financial information for risk assessment and suitability of offerings. • Use your experience in construction equipment underwriting and inventory or floor plan financing in the decision-making process. • Develop detailed reports and recommendations for the management team based on your analysis of financial, credit, and investment data. • Evaluate client's financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. • Conduct industry, client and financial due diligence to accurately assess and price risk. • Develop and employ financial models for credit assessment and valuation purposes. • Monitor portfolio credit quality and adherence to policies and procedures. • Ensure compliance and regulatory standards are met in all documentation and procedures relating to credit activities. • Provide assistance to sales team in structuring transactions and support in closing deals. • Stay abreast of developments in credit trends, economic conditions and regulatory environments. • Engage actively with clients to explore all aspects of their financial condition, commitments and credit risk. • Undertake regular reviews and appraisals of credit policies to ensure their relevance and compliance. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, prospects, and existing clients. • Participate in deal discussion meetings with management, originating teams, and other key stakeholders. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Demonstrated knowledge of credit and credit application processes • Ability to analyze and review financial statements • Experience with credit underwriting and commercial underwriting • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Possess high attention to detail and organizational skills • Willingness to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
