Credit Analyst
Job Description The Credit Analyst supports the firm and Credit & Collections Manager by conducting risk assessments, credit evaluations for new client engagements, and monitoring performance related to collections. Responsibilities: Assist in designing policies that require credit analysis for new matters to minimize risk. Partner with the Accounting, Client Engagement, and Collections teams to investigate credit exposure and evaluate credit for new/ongoing client matters. Research and assess the creditworthiness of clients. Approve the opening of new matters daily, identifying those requiring further analysis. Collaborate with Attorneys, Department chairs, General Counsel, and Credit/Collections manager on risk assessment and evaluation of active client matters. Conduct ongoing reviews of receivables and work-in-progress (WIP) relative to established budgets. Develop and/or review data models for risk analysis and provide suggestions and feedback to improve processes based on analysis. Skills and Requirements Bachelors Degree preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting and/or finance experience. Prior experience with credit evaluation or analysis a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Word, and Outlook). Experienced Excel user including extensive spreadsheet development and data analysis preferred.
