Description We are currently representing a client in their search for a Remote Collections Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong phone presence, superior customer service skills and in-depth knowledge of collections procedures. In this role, you will be mainly accountable for reaching out to customers with overdue account balances. A significant part of the role involves answering client queries, implementing effective strategies to expedite payment, and escalating calls when debt resolution is not immediately achieved. Duties include: + Contacting customers with overdue balances to negotiate reliable payment arrangements. + Promptly answering questions and concerns from clients regarding their account status. + Escalating calls when necessary and updating account information accordingly. + Managing customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism and empathy. + Following set procedures and guidelines for debt collection. + Working closely with the finance and customer service teams to devise effective collection strategies. + Documenting all collection activities in the respective system for future reference. Requirements Qualifications and skills required: + Proven experience in customer service and collections, with sound knowledge of collections processes. + Excellent phone demeanor with an empathetic, patient, and persistent approach. + Strong communication and negotiation skills. + The ability to manage stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
