Credit Analyst Intern
Job Purpose & Scope Responsible for supporting lending efforts across the Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) group by learning about underwriting new and renewed loans, modifications, annual/quarterly reviews, financial spreads, risk ratings and like financial analysis. Essential Job Functions + Provides financial analysis, analytical, and underwriting support to business lines within the CIB. + Ensures loan requests are underwritten consistently and in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies, procedures, and standards. + Manages assigned credit transactions, ensuring the loan requests are handled efficiently and processed in a timely manner, consistent with the Bank’s standards and Service Level Agreements. + Assists senior staff members with their responsibilities. + Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work. + Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Knowledge of general financial and banking principles. + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. + Ability to work effectively and professionally with staff and management at all levels of the organization. + Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to maintain confidentiality. + Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work product. + Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic Qualifications + Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program concentrating in business, finance, accounting, or other job-related field, required. + Completion of a minimum of two (2) years of undergraduate studies, required. + Coursework in commercial banking, preferred.
