Job Description

The Collections specialist will make outbound calls to customers to resolve balances deemed past due by the Accounts Receivable (AR) system. The AR System will manage customers’ accounts according to defined strategies. The A/R Processor will use experience to identify customer needs and provide solutions. This role involves contacting assigned accounts for payments, analyzing customer payment trends, and resolving payment delay issues, deductions, and cash application issues.

ResponsibilitiesFollow up and timely completion of next action item according to the strategy under which the account is managed.Contact assigned accounts for payments using various methods defined by the strategy, and communicate with accounts using system notifications.Ensure proper documentation in the AR system.Analyze customer payment trends and suggest ways to mitigate account balances.Review account history, payment, and credit information to articulate resolutions.Resolve payment delay issues, deductions, and cash application issues communicated by the customer.Communicate with customers via telephone, computer, and written correspondence regarding account status and obtain payments or develop resolution plans.Support inter-departmental initiatives to meet goals and suggest improvements to collections effectiveness.Process customer payments and provide necessary documentation.Perform functions within established guidelines and release orders.Perform related duties as assigned5 years of experience in a Credit & Collections rolePay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
