Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist
Job Description

The credit and collections specialist will make outbound calls to customers to resolve balances deemed past due by the AR system. The system will manage customers’ accounts according to defined strategies. The A/R Processor will use their experience to identify customer needs and provide solutions.

ResponsibilitiesFollow up and complete next action items according to the strategy under which the account is managed.Contact assigned accounts for payments using various methods defined by the strategy under which the account is managed and communicate with accounts using system notifications.Document properly in the AR system.Analyze customer payment trends and make suggestions to mitigate account balances.Quickly review account history, payment, and credit information to articulate a resolution.Resolve payment delay issues, deductions, and cash application issues communicated by the customer.Provide communication to customers via telephone, computer, and written correspondence regarding account status, and obtain payments or develop resolution plans up to and including payment.Support inter-departmental initiatives to ensure goals are met and make suggestions to improve collections effectiveness.Process customer payments and provide necessary documentation.Perform functions within established guidelines and release orders.Perform related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAnalytical skillsMid-level Excel skillsExperience with national accounts (e.g., Walmart, Target, CVS, Macy’s)Minimum High School Diploma or GEDAt least 5 years of experience making outbound calls to customers to resolve past due balancesExperience using an Accounts Receivable (AR) systemAccounts receivable collectionsCustomer serviceOutbound callsCollectionAging reportCollection callsMicrosoft OfficeCustomer service orientedCredit analysisData entryExcel pivot tablesVLOOKUPInvoicingReconciliationCash applicationCollectionAdditional Skills & Qualifications5 Years of Experience in a Credit & Collections roleExperience providing excellent customer service to large customers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Macy's)5 Years of Experience using accounting software for Accounts Receivable (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)Intermediate skills in ExcelMinimum of Associate's Degree preferred - HS Diploma requiredMinimum of five (5) years of business-to-business collections experienceWork Environment

Hybrid – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in-office, Monday, Friday from home. Work hours are from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Enjoy working for a leader in the medical industry, with benefits including 401k and insurance.
