Credit And Collections Specialist
Seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist in the Des Moines Area!! Job Description The Credit and Collections Specialist will engage with customers regarding their invoices and accounts receivable. This role involves managing outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment and involves various aspects of credit, collection, analysis, and resolution of billing problems. The individual will be responsible for reducing accounts receivable delinquency. Responsibilities + Collect outstanding account receivables. + Perform administrative tasks related to credit and collections. + Analyze and resolve billing problems. + Identify accounts that have exceeded credit terms and limits. + Review aging accounts for past due credits and short payments. + Verify credit applications and request missing documents. + Identify accounts requiring prepayment before printing or delivery, and communicate with billing and customers to ensure receipt of funds. Essential Skills + Experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and credit analysis. + Proficiency in collections and reconciliation. + Ability to manage customer accounts and billing. + Strong skills in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP. Additional Skills & Qualifications + At least 1 year of office experience related to credit processing, collections, accounts receivable, invoicing, and billing. + Experience with the MS Office Suite. + No degree required, but Excel testing is preferred. Work Environment The role is based in a cool, open-concept office located downtown above Americana. The office environment is very collaborative, with a coffee and snack area available for all employees. The specialist will work alongside five other team members in the accounts receivable team. Initial training will require 2-4 weeks in person. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
