Job Type: Credit & Collections Specialist

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Compensation: $25-26/hr

A leading freight-forwarding company is seeking an experience Credit & Collections Specialist to join their team! This Credit and Collections Specialist will be responsible for business to business collection calls, reducing the aging report, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of collections experience, having worked with a large ERP and strong Excel skills.

Job Description:

Make collection calls to delinquent customers.Assist customers with their payments through various methods; cash, credit card, ACH, check/CHAX, IVR, websiteSet up payment arraignments and payment schedule when approved by manager.Review and address commercial credit card declines, credit card chargebacks, ACH & check returnsReview the credit department, credit & collections, and billing emails in addition to own.Run and review payment report daily for solid waste accounts.Contact customers with returned mail for address correction.Create and run delinquent letters for solid waste accountsProvide customers with invoices and supporting detail when requestedDiscuss with C/C manager problematic accounts that should be placed in collections

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of credit & collections experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferredExperience working within the manufacturing industryStrong ERP knowledge

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
