Description
We are in search of a meticulous and analytical Credit & Collections Analyst to join our team located in Fremont, Ohio. The chosen candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing customer accounts, coordinating collections, and applying company credit and collection policies. This role will play a crucial part in minimizing the financial risk of the company while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the resolution of delinquent accounts through initiating collection activities and contacting assigned accounts.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, and liaise with internal departments and associates.
• Handle customer requests for correspondence including statements, invoices, credit memos and Proof of Delivery (POD).
• Maintain accurate customer files, track changes in names, addresses, and mailing attention for assigned accounts.
• Analyze credit data and financial statements to assess the risk involved in lending money or extending credit.
• Understand key financial ratios and interpret them in relation to credit line setting.
• Ensure clear documentation of all correspondence with customers in the operating system’s notes module.
• Provide periodic updates and reports for management as required.
• Develop positive business relationships, both internally and externally, working closely with customer service, outside sales, and distribution center managers.
• Assist in special projects as requested and provide additional support in other areas of the department as needed.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Credit & Collections Analyst.
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Profound knowledge of Collection Processes.
• Experience with Credit Applications is essential.
• Familiarity with Credit - Collections is required.
• Experience with Credit - Commercial is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Prior experience in the Manufacturing Industry is desirable.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
