Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist (Entry Level)
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Credit and Collections Specialist to join our growing team. This role involves both credit review and account setup responsibilities, with an emphasis on communication and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in Customer Service or Collections and possess strong competitive communication skills.
Responsibilities
+ Perform credit reviews by comparing accounts against set criteria and making decisions to hold or approve.
+ Set up accounts, which includes retrieving request forms from sales representatives, communicating with sales representatives, running credit checks with businesses via Credit Safe, and reviewing applications for completeness.
+ Suggest credit terms for approval or recommend different terms.
+ Assign terms to accounts.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in Customer Service or Collections
+ Strong communication skills
+ Proficiency in Excel
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with credit review processes
+ Ability to work collaboratively with sales representatives
+ Strong attention to detail
Work Environment
You will be part of a team of 32 people, which includes 8 cash application specialists and 24 collectors and credit managers. There is also an initiative to build a chargebacks team. The work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break/lunch. The role is 100% onsite during the temporary phase and moves to a hybrid model once the position becomes permanent, typically after 6 months. The dress code is business casual. Each employee will be cross-trained in Collections, Cash Application, and Chargebacks, and based on their skills, they will be aligned accordingly. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00
