Description
We are looking for a Head of Credit/Collections to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the credit and collection activities, setting credit policies, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities:
• Review and process credit applications for new customers, establishing appropriate credit limits
• Re-evaluate credit lines of existing customers to optimize sales and minimize risk
• Develop and implement credit hold policies, and monitor customer accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with both customers and the sales team
• Supervise credit and collection analysts team
• Leverage strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve customer inquiries
• Manage and oversee accounts receivable and billing functions
• Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures and manage collection processes
• Conduct regular reviews of aged receivables and take necessary action.
** Manufacturing or Distribution a PLUS
**Light Domestic travel to other office locations will be required**

Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the credit/collections field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in B2B collections.
• Proven experience in managing accounting functions.
• Thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Practical knowledge of billing functions.
• Familiarity with cash activity processes.
• Experience in handling commercial collections.
• Excellent skills in credit risk management.
• Ability to manage aged receivables efficiently.
• Knowledge of credit - collections procedures.
• Understanding of credit risk models.
• Familiarity with credit policies and procedures.
• Experience in managing collection processes.
• Knowledge of lien laws.
• Proven experience in managing a credit portfolio.
• Understanding of portfolio risk.
• Ability to work within a diverse team and foster an inclusive workplace.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
