Job Description

The credit & product owner role is a role that includes the end-to-end ownership of the design and develop of the investment backed lending proposition. The product is a loan that is secured by various investments such as a stock portfolio, cash balances, unit trusts etc.

A significant amount of time with be spent on:

Designing the proposition Ensuring IT vendors build the required systems Designing operational processes to manage the product. Managing a few internal resources and liaising with a range of contractors and vendors.

Requirements:

Non Negotiable At least 3 years of Secured Lending experience in any financial role3 year degreeAbility to work without supervisionAbility to communicate with stakeholders in other areas of the businessExcel, Word

NegotiableType of degree. Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science etc.Working with securities/investment-based lending products will be advantageous.Working with building of product platforms will be advantageous.

Contributes to the design and development or/and maintenance of innovative product offerings; and contributes to the management, maintenance, innovation and enhancement of existing products through its life cycle.

ResponsibilitiesProduct and Solution Development

Take responsibility for managing the definition, development, and delivery of a significant product or service within the product development and engineering program, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.

Needs Assessment

Build complex frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs.

Business Case

Lead the development, presentation, and continuous review of project business cases; make evidence-based recommendations on the initiation and termination of projects.

Innovation Strategy, Pipeline, and Road Map

Lead the implementation of the innovation road map, ensuring the right resources are in place to execute on the innovation strategy across the various stages of the pipeline.

Solutions Analysis

Develop innovative solutions by integrating and analyzing complex and diverse information sources.

Innovation Implementation and Pipeline Management

Lead development of new innovations or support business units and teams in new product and service initiatives, acting as a methodology expert and facilitator for the most-critical innovation teams across the company.

Culture of Innovation

Define the execution plan to disseminate innovative capabilities across the businesses, helping people develop these competencies and enabling them to innovate through solutions such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.

Portfolio Management

Initiate and lead the governance and delivery of a program or group of significant projects within a function, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are identified and achieved.

Personal Capability Building

Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team and beyond in the function. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Financial Products Development

Manage a medium-sized financial product development or specialist team and/or manage the definition, development, and delivery of significant financial products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
