This position is responsible for….

The Credit Specialist is responsible for safeguarding Accounts Receivable by reviewing wholesale customer orders, the collection of past due balances and reconciliation of disputed amounts. She/he will provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers by consistent, courteous, and prompt communication regarding account status.  This role will provide as dedicated back-up to our Credit Analyst, reviewing wholesale credit applications and conducting credit analysis for credit terms and credit limits.  Additional duties may include cash posting as needed.

Your day will be very busy… you will:

Serves as the liaison between our Third-Party Distributor and House accounts and Breg for the purpose of collection of outstanding receivables.

 

Identifies overdue payments, address customer queries, handles chargeback and/or deduction notifications, record collection activity, while providing exceptional customer service.

 

Sends monthly statements to Distributor accounts and conducts a monthly reconciliation of unapplied payments, credits and outstanding debit balances.

 

Manages accounts on credit hold by reviewing new orders and analyzing customer aging, credit terms, and overall credit history to safeguard our accounts receivable.

 

Collaborates with business leaders to report and solve customer issues that impact or potentially impact our accounts receivable or DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

 

Dedicates back up support to our Credit Analyst, review credit applications, perform credit analysis for new wholesale customers, maintaining credit limits and customer updates in Oracle Customer Standard.

 

Assists Accounts Receivable Team in cash posting. Apply payments from third party vendors, lockbox checks, ACH (Automatic Clearing House) and credit card payments, contact customers with payment related questions, reconcile entries to ensure accurate posting entries.

 

Responsible for behaving in a professional manner both internally and externally in relationships that positively impact the company's reputation and comply with the company's policies and practices. Responsible for being accountable and committed to demonstrating Breg’s cultural beliefs and achieving the key results of the company.

 

Responsible for promoting Breg's culture within the organization using established tools such as storytelling, providing focused feedback, and recognition.  What your background will be:

An associate degree in accounting or the equivalent to 2+ years B2B (Business to Business) Credit & Collections experience is required. Experience managing third party distributors with high volume accounts is preferred. 2+ years working with standard accounts receivable reports, including customer account aging is required. Knowledge of financial analysis techniques, financial evaluation and strong attention to accuracy is required. 2+ years of cash posting experience is required. Intermediate level MS Excel skills are required. Oracle experience or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and business writing skills are required.

Salary/Pay Range:

$25.00 - $28.00 Per Hour

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary/pay across all US locations. Actual pay is based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographical location, work experience, skill set, relevant trainings and certifications, and business needs. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for a bonus.
