EquipmentShare is searching for a Credit Specialist for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.  

Salary range: $24.50-$26.50/hr. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.

Job Summary: The Credit Specialist will oversee the entire credit review and approval process for prospective rental customers at EquipmentShare. They will approve, make recommendations and make the final lending decision for renters. They will carry out complete credit analyses and will gather, review, analyze and record various documents and information in order to thoroughly evaluate an individual's credit.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities: Review initial credit application for prospective renters. Organize, update and maintain new customer documentation in spreadsheets. Oversee the verification process for all renters, including verifying name and other pertinent information with the state. Champion the credit report pull process, including running renter credit through third party credit verification systems. Ensure credit reports are successfully pulled, documented and analyzed. Communicate, collaborate and work closely with the Credit Manager on a daily basis to ensure all credit reports are sound and thorough reviews are completed. Interact and use various tools and programs to complete the credit review process, such as Retool, Jotform, Dun & Bradstreet, and ESAdmin. Prepare correspondence to renters detailing their credit limit and onboarding information. Onboard customers into EquipmentShare’s rental platform. Identify, evaluate and determine the correct next steps following potential credit quality issues in order to minimize risk and loss to the company. Required Skills/Abilities: Possess analytical thinking skills. Experience working with liens is preferred. Knowledgeable in the fields of economics, accounting and finance, and capable of analyzing risk. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to work thoroughly and produce accurate work in a fast-moving, ever-changing work environment. Education and Experience: High School Diploma, Equivalent Education or Experience required. Bachelor's degree, preferred. At least 2 years of work experience in credit analysis, finance and/or lending. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer. Why We’re a Better Place to Work Competitive salary.
