Creo Designer
Job Title: Creo DesignerJob Description We are looking for a Special Order Designer to support the Engineered To Order (ETO) Group. This team handles modifications of standard products, involving various complexities such as seismic considerations, color changes, electrical alterations, special coatings, and UPS. Responsibilities + Create or modify design concepts within the Creo environment for air-cooled packaged products. + Work with documents, drawings, and bills of material in various formats. + Apply knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods. + Design part modeling, large assembly modeling, sheet-metal, and piping. + Manage data changes and version controls. + Utilize engineering design tools such as Creo, Windchill, ProjectLink, and SharePoint effectively. + Demonstrate creativity in new product design and customization. + Maintain strong design skills and engineering documentation systems. + Coordinate design activities with local and offshore design teams. Essential Skills + Minimum of three years of experience in mechanical design and design project management. + Proficiency in Pro/ENGINEER (minimum of three years with current Wildfire build) including advanced assemblies, 3D modeling, sheet metal, piping, and drawing. + At least two years of experience with Windchill, including document management, change management, and bill of materials. + Excellent drafting standards and procedures. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Experience with bill of material structure and databases. + Knowledge of sheet metal and piping design and manufacturing processes. + Relevant job history experience, especially in HVAC product design and/or product sustaining. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with electro-mechanical control systems and components. + Experience with Simplified Reps and Family Tables in Creo. + Knowledge of Engineering Change process (ECN). + Basic understanding of metal fabrication/manufacturing processes. + BSME is not required, but a 2-year degree is preferred. Work Environment This role is based in a large manufacturing center with a test lab and engineering R&D onsite. The team works on custom and commercial HVAC units, which are large products shipped internationally. Designers are responsible for their own drafting and documentation, supporting various engineering groups including Custom, Large, Medium, and Small engineering teams. There are five test labs onsite. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
