**The Headlines:**
In the role of **Crew Chief** working in Golden, CO, at Rocky Mountain Metal Container, you will, implement World Class Supply Chain 2.0, develop and train team members, monitor line performance and identify follow up items for maintenance. The Crew Chief also coordinates the press and deco area activities in support of cross-functional events, shift exchange tie-in communications, completing root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, documentation/record keeping, training, manages staffing resources via overtime distribution process, and manages escalation process for assigned areas. This role will be capable of initial assessment of all operating processes and notification procedures to department management.
This position reports to the Line Lead.
**The Responsibilities:**
+ Assists departmental environmental, health and safety efforts by coaching personnel and observing conditions in the workplace and taking appropriate preventive and corrective actions. Supports plant and company EH&S and GMP efforts by modeling appropriate behaviors and following all related procedures.
+ Reviews line performance, partners with Process Leaders, Unit Managers, other support groups to ensure maximum shop efficiency and performance.
+ Performs situational and systemic problem-solving. Assists co-workers in determining root-cause, and in developing their analysis skills. Is able to communicate actions to those impacted by their efforts, including management, co-workers, and other departments.
+ Acts as primary departmental liaison for cross-functional activities. Provides planning input and support for job changes, autonomous/preventative maintenance, and other planned events. Organizes Forming and Inspection Area tasks and personnel to accomplish them.
+ Is primary departmental point-of-contact on shift for emergency events. Assists with planning and executing reaction plans for the PRESS and DECO Areas during these circumstances.
+ Provides direction to assigned team and other employees in the Plant in support of area policies, procedures and leaders. Acts as on-shift primary departmental point of contact for creating and implementing new Standard Operating Procedures. Assists co-workers with understanding and executing area policies and procedures. Provides on-the-job training to co-workers when necessary.
+ Participates in providing shift records and reports, and review of line information for analysis, trend identification, and developing and implementing corrective measure strategies.
+ Creates work notifications in collaboration with area support personnel to address items of safety, people, quality, service, cost and sustainability.
+ Coordinates and communicates with other shifts and process and support areas to assure continuity of operation between shifts, departments, and work groups. Leads and coaches structured communication meetings to provide relevant information to on-coming shift, and receive information from off-going shift. Shares information received with appropriate department personnel.
**The Other Qualifications:**
+ Education level and/or experience: A high school diploma or GED is required.
+ Leadership experience is preferred. Higher consideration may apply for continuing education.
+ Skills and/or knowledge: Two (2) years’ experience in can manufacturing or equivalent high-speed production experience is required. Higher consideration for more experience.
