Job Description The Crew Chief in Training’s main responsibility is to learn the technical and managerial skills required to become a Crew Chief. **Backhoe operator experience and Class A required** **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Learn and refine technical and managerial skills of a Crew Chief + Maintain a 45% billable rate + Responds to call outs and after hour emergencies. + Ensures that all SOPs, DOT, OSHA and other requirements are followed. + Operates vehicles & special equipment including forklift, backhoe, amphibious vehicle, vactor, probing rod, motor vehicle, portable generators, pumps, chain saws, chop saws, sewer cleaning machine, etc. + Installs, repairs, and problem solve in distribution systems (water and sewer) in both team and individual environments + Other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS** **_Education/Experience_** : High School Diploma or GED. Previous supervisory experience preferred. **_Licenses/Certifications_** : Valid Driver’s License and maintains insurable driving record _(Class A CDL required in order to drive combination rig of truck, trailer & backhoe within six (6) months)._ **_Technical_** : Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office, internet, phone systems, computers, OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, backhoe operations and distributions systems. **_Communication_** : Communicates clearly & professionally.
