POSITION SUMMARY:
Center for Family Services is seeking an experienced individual for the Crew Leader position in its PowerCorps Camden Program. The Crew Leader provides daily leadership, direction, support, and supervision to approximately ten AmeriCorps crew members and one assistant Crew Leader. The Crew Leader serves as a motivator, leader, supervisor, guide, role model, and mentor to the AmeriCorps members and is responsible for the crew's overall service performance and safety. The Crew Leader is the primary point of contact for communications and plans related to the overall crew and AmeriCorps members for internal and external staff and partners, and reports to the PowerCorps Camden Program Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Crew Leader assures the continuing training and development of staff and regularly attends meetings to discuss plans, address areas of potential problems and program functioning. This individual leads daily and weekly crew activities, discussions and reflections that create and maintain crew and AmeriCorps values, respectful interactions, and crew community and teamwork. The Crew Leader Empowers AmeriCorps members by supporting social and emotional growth and workforce development and also addresses and takes action on behaviors that negatively impact the service environment and AmeriCorps member experience. The Crew Leader supports corps members' post-service and workforce development activities by engaging in processes lead by Workforce Development. This individual creates a safe service and project environment, knows and enforces all state laws and program safety rules, assists in completing and submitting AmeriCorps paperwork, participates in the AmeriCorps member selection process, and attends program, staff and community meetings and outreach events
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma and extensive experience in the field; Bachelor's degree preferredSupervisory experience and experience working with youthExperience in building collaborations among individuals and organizationsMaintains First Aid and CPR certificationsMust be able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours and lift / carry up to 40 lbsCurrent driver's license and a good driving record of at least three years Vehicle with current insurance and registrationBenefits:
