Role Summary
The Crew Scheduler will report directly to the Lead Flight Attendant. The Crew Scheduler works closely with the Lead Flight Attendant, Chief Pilot, Dispatch, and Maintenance in order to ensure a safe and legal flight environment for passengers and crews in fulfillment of the air transportation needs provided by Pfizer Corporate Aviation. The Crew Scheduler is primarily responsible for ensuring the scheduling, organization and coordination of aircraft flight crews pursuant to Pfizer Corporate Aviation policy and procedures for the safe, secure, efficient, and reliable transportation of Pfizer’s authorized executives and guests. The Crew Scheduler must consistently maintain an overall awareness of day-to-day flight department operations yet possess the discipline and precision to manage the continuous change of detailed tasks.
Role Responsibilities
Participation in the Safety Management System, as detailed in Pfizer AOM Chapter 3
Works with Lead Flight Attendant, Chief Pilot, Dispatch, and Maintenance to coordinate and facilitate specific crewmember assignments, while ensuring adequate day-to-day aircrew staffing
Schedule crewmembers to distribute an equal share of the workload, considering nights away from home, weekend flights, unusually strenuous flights and number of days worked
Ensure that all scheduled aircraft crewmembers meet currency requirements and have fulfilled training and proficiency requirements
Works with Training Captains and the Standards Committee Chair to coordinate required training to minimize impact to service and schedule capabilities
Track and monitor Paid Time Off (vacation and X days) taken by crewmembers
Complete monthly workday reports
Recommend changes to head count based on flight activity
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of corporate flight scheduling experience
Proficiency using aviation scheduling software programs such as FOS, PFM, or BART
Working knowledge and familiarity with flight operations policies, procedures, and processes
Extensive computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, and Excel
High degree of confidentiality in dealing with company and employee business and personal information
Experienced at dealing with people and teams sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally while under pressure
Disciplined and understands the need for and importance of following policy
Ability to stand alone/demonstrate courage in adhering to policies/procedures
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Capable of effectively communicating as required with executive passengers, flight crew, maintenance personnel, and external global trip support personnel
Capable of managing variables and conflicts across many time zones globally, in real time, supporting active flight operations
Self-directed and independent, but a team player
Capacity to deal with continuous change and make timely decisions
High attention to detail
Relational understanding of global and geographical regions
Dispatcher training/certification
College degree

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64,600.00 to $107,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
