UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Crisis Clinician to join our dynamic Crisis Services team! Since 1993, we’ve been at the forefront of Erie County’s 24/7 crisis hotline and mobile crisis response—providing life-saving support to individuals of all ages when they need it most. As part of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, you’ll play a key role in transforming mental health services.

Your Role: As a Crisis Clinician Associate, you’ll deliver critical clinical services to individuals experiencing crises. Your primary responsibilities include handling crisis-related situations—whether it’s responding to calls, assisting community professionals, gathering clinical information, de-escalating high-stress situations, and ensuring thorough documentation of all interactions.

What We’re Looking For: We need a compassionate, problem-solving individual who thrives under pressure. You’ll bring your expertise in behavioral health, particularly in crisis intervention or case management, and your experience in customer service and clinical assessments to have a meaningful and lasting effect. This is a four-day evening shift position (2 p.m. – 12 a.m.), with a rotating schedule that offers flexibility and variety.

Responsibilities:

Manage caseload, provide counseling & arrange referrals Conduct crisis assessments & respond to calls. Complete case reviews. Use electronic records & meet paperwork requirements. Work independently in crises & ensure safety. Participate in team meetings & trainings.
