Job Summary
The Crisis Counselor position for St. Joseph’s Health Psychiatric Emergency Services/Screening Center provides services to individuals in psychiatric crisis. Services include, but are not limited to: crisis intervention; clinical assessments; treatment planning; psychoeducation; referral and advocacy. The position also involves assessment of individuals in crisis in the community mobile outreach and hospital setting. The population of individuals we serve come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Clinical presentation, language spoken, communication needs, and age of populations served are varied as well.
