Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a dedicated Crisis Intervention Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing crisis intervention, outreach, and engagement services to individuals with untreated physical, mental, and substance use issues. Your commitment to the recovery model of treatment, trauma-informed care, and promoting positive interactions will contribute to the overall success of our programs. Evening, midnight, and weekend hours may be necessary.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Crisis Intervention Engagement Specialist at Chestnut Health Systems, your primary responsibilities involve meticulous data entry and paperwork to meet program and agency standards. You'll focus on delivering safety planning, outreach, and engagement services, ensuring on-site completion of treatment and recovery plans with clients. Upholding the recovery model of treatment, you'll actively employ trauma-informed care, fostering hope, respect, and empowerment. Your role extends to promoting positive interactions within Chestnut and the community, contributing to a favorable program reputation. Attending meetings and staffings, participating in program development activities, and providing support to team members are integral aspects of this position. Your dedication to continuous learning and professional development aligns with Chestnut's commitment to customer service excellence and maintaining confidentiality of organizational information.
Qualifications Minimum age of 21 with a high school diploma or equivalent and have 5 years of demonstrated skills in human services and in the field of services to adults;Or a Bachelors degree in a helping profession.Ability to work constructively with consumers, treatment resources, and the community.Personal recovery experience and willingness to discuss the recovery journey.Capability to obtain the CRSS credential within one year of the date of hire.Preference for candidates with social service, teaching, corrections/policing, patient care, or lived recovery/work experience.Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability.Basic computer skills, including MS Word, email, and an electronic medical record (EMR).Are you intrigued by this job but don’t meet every single requirement?
