The Medical Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients requiring social work intervention. The Medical Social Worker provides medically necessary intervention to patients who have social or emotional problems that are, or are expected to be, impediment(s) to the effective treatment of the medical condition and/or rate of recovery. Additionally, the Medical Social Worker provides these services in accordance with physician’s orders.
Minimum Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education per state/client requirements required Current Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required Minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in a crisis environment in the last two years required Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
