Scope of work 

Under the direction of a Nurse, the Critical Care Technician is responsible for direct patient care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Critical Care Technician will provide care according to policies and procedures. Maintains critical care equipment and supplies as directed by unit management. Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.

Qualifications 

High School Diploma or equivalent1 year experience as a nursing assistantAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification requiredCurrent CAN certification preferred.Ability to communicate effectively and document information accuratelyAbility to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individualsKnowledge of basic medical terminology preferredBasic computer knowledge is preferredAbility to move or lift patients and equipment
