Critical Facilities Technician
Kforce is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician in Sterling, VA. This person will be responsible for Data Center Engineering within a Data Center. Experience in Commercial HVAC and/or electrical power systems troubleshooting is needed to provide facility maintenance operations support in a Data Center environment for a Fortune 500 company. This is a six-month contract to hire position with strong potential of converting to permanent full-time with the client. Join an exciting field in a position with the opportunity to advance. Contractors are offered medical + dental benefits, and training while on contract. Responsibilities: Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems. Attend training and maintain utmost professionalism. Ideal Background: Candidates should have some hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience within a critical facility commercial environment working on HVAC mechanical and/or electrical power systems up to 480 voltz. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize in complex, busy environment Preferred Qualifications: Recent graduates with Technical Certification (HVAC) or Engineering Degrees (Mechanical/Electrical) are encouraged to apply. Prior military experience. Experience with Building management systems BMS. Experience writing technical documentation for maintenance records. Emergency response background.
