They offer Third Party Purchases, Installs, Corrective and Preventive Maintenance of Mission Critical Power Equipment such as: Switchgear, Batteries, UPS and Generator Maintenance & Repair Services, Turnkey Electrical Solutions, DC Plant Services and Battery Services. They provide reliability and uptime of mission-critical facilities for many of the world's largest organizations and government facilities including Enterprise Data Centers, Colocation Providers and Hyperscale Companies.
Our client is looking for a Critical Power Sales Associate to join their outside sales team. The Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting a region in developing and executing sales for the company. This person must be able to develop regional vertical market segments and tailor specific requirements to that vertical market. The Sales Associate will be responsible for the sales efforts and results for the region for the company. Our client is looking for a Sales Associate that can grow and manage a territory conducting direct sales with end users - Enterprise, Colo, and Hyperscale market. The ideal candidate will have knowledge or previous experience selling Critical Power Solutions in the the region, possess an established rolodex of contacts in the Mission Critical Data Center / Critical Facilities Marketplace. They will support a specific region and pursue sales opportunities that are product, service and solution based. The primary candidate function will be calling on established clients and prospecting for new accounts among high-potential Critical Facility end-users, work through Partners such as engineers, and subcontractors. They will also be responsible for preparing proposals, presentations, and briefings. Candidate will also be expected to establish positive relationships with existing business partners in hopes to generate additional business. A proven track record of consultative data center solutions sales skills are a must, along with a strong background in electrical power distribution and backup power.
Responsibilities:
Create a sales approach that will allow for prospective customers to reach its full market potential.Develop new business and maintain and grow established clients in the Mission Critical Data Center spaceCold Call New prospects, RFP interviews, requirements meeting, etc. and manage entire sales process from first contact to closing the dealEstablish positive relationships with existing business partners in hopes to generate additional businessMaintain and review sales prospect pipeline and sales forecastDevelop strategic relationships that will help bring in additional sales opportunitiesDevelop and manage an effective channel strategy from both a sales and marketing perspectiveDevelop relationships with third party revenue generating partners and national property management firms that lead to large end user opportunitiesDevelop a marketing and lead generation capability utilizing web based techniquesExtensive relationships with the national property management firms, facility engineers and facility managers to develop a repeatable sales strategy to sellAttend and arrange booth space at trade shows and conferences to market the company’s Critical Power OEM ServicesQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , other technically related degree in the industry, or equivalent work-related experienceAt least five to ten years sales experience selling to: data center / critical facilities / critical power industry - with responsibilities working for an OEM or Third Party Service company or, UPS / Battery / Generator / Switchgear or related equipment salesPrevious UPS OEM / 3rd Party experience a plus selling products from: Emerson / Liebert / Vertiv ; APC / MGE / Schneider , or Eaton / Powerware / PDI ; Toshiba; Mitsubishi or UPS 3rd Party a HUGE PLUSMust have an extensive network of relevant contacts that can become potential customers in the Data Center Industry: Director of Facilities, Facilities Managers, Property Managers, Engineering Directors, etc.Contacts with Engineering Firms, General Contractors, Data Center Providers, Construction Companies, Rep Firms, etc.Proven ability to be a strategically focused sales leader. Has developed a repeatable sales strategy focused on selling value propositionsMember / Attendee of local professional chapters / conferences ( IEEE, 7x24 Exchange, Uptime Institute, DCD, Bisnow, AFCOM, iMasons etc.)Must be a team player and be able to build long-term cooperative partner relationships with internal and external individuals who are part of the business development processEffective Communicator-emails, phone, meetings, etc.Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TeamsAbility to travel up to 50% of the timeStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritizePrevious experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy Nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)Submittal Instructions:
