Critical Systems Manager
Job Summary

This role uses advanced skills to oversee and manage preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Head End operation. Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: UPS systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, Work Tickets, and Change management.

Responsibilities Development and implementation of specifications, bidding documents, plans and procedures covering mechanical engineering, maintenance operations and project oversight. Administration of service subcontracts and on-site evaluation of quality levels and competitive costs. Controlling and overseeing the utilization of maintenance and operations personnel across facility lines to assure optimum use of resources as peak workload, absenteeism or special needs occur. Continued evaluation of all phases of Head End operations to enhance the efficiency of the operation and to maximize cost effectiveness. Selection, supervision, development, and training of all subordinate engineering and maintenance personnel. Inspection and assurance to see that all vacant spaces are maintained in a clean and occupant ready condition. Development of annual operational plans tied to Altice’s business plans including individual quarterly goals and objectives approved by the Senior Management. Reviewing and approving plans for project and repair work. Regularly and systematically analyze and appraise the effectiveness of operations under his/her control; ensuring that policies are observed, and that prompt corrective action is taken as needed. Supervising and training all critical systems employees in proper safety procedures. Qualifications A minimum of 4 years of work experience in critical infrastructure supporting data centers or Head Ends Operations: Previous experience working in data center/ Head End environments, understanding of data center/ Head end protocols and standards. Electrical Systems: Hands-on experience with UPS systems, generators, and electrical distribution systems. Mechanical Systems: Experience with chillers, HVAC systems, and other cooling solutions common in data centers. Building Management Systems (BMS): Familiarity with BMS interfaces, troubleshooting, and optimization. Understanding of  ticketing and Change Management Systems Safety: Familiarity with safety protocols, especially those concerning electrical systems. Driver's License: A clean and valid driver's license. Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities. Software Proficiency: General proficiency in office software applications. Physical Requirements: Ability to use safety equipment and follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Occasional physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds occasionally.
