Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will perform safe anesthesia care, consisting of the following: Job Details Pre-operative assessment and aide the anesthesiologist the development of the anesthesia care plan Ordering of appropriate pre-operative orders as permitted by state law Providing high quality anesthesia care to patients and monitoring patients intra-operatively Responding emergency situations as needed by assessing, stabilizing, and determining disposition of patients Participates in post-operative evaluation, care, and follow-up Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the scope of practice of the individual CRNA Requirements: Masters' Degree in Nursing required. Doctorate Degree in Nurse Anesthesia Practice preferred New York Registered Nurse (RN) license and CRNA license required Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification by the American Heart Association required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification by the American Heart Association required 1 year of experience as a CRNA preferred.
