Position Summary:

As a CDS Engineer on the Data Services Team, you will architect solutions and contribute technical leadership, while applying modern design principles and engineering best practices to deliver a cross-domain network design. The right candidate must be able to collaborate in a cross-disciplinary environment that includes program managers, engineers, network, cyber security, and test professionals. You will provide hands on support to the digital engineering, implementation, deployment, and configuration of cloud and on-premises lab environments and networks and apply your technical expertise and consulting acumen to activities ranging from the definition of network requirements to the implementation of network design to support prototyping and evaluation in a lab environment. This position requires understanding of every facet of project execution, analysis and management of the procurement, design, and execution of classified, operational networks, as well as experience leading systems engineering and network development.

Responsibilities:

Support and lead systems engineering activities in support of the Digital Infrastructure Division of the Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management Program Executive OfficeDevelop systems engineering processes to architect and define DAF Battle Network components specific to data sharing across domains Assist the government in setting up, gaining accreditation/approvals and maintaining cross domain data sharing prototype networksDeliver an integrated information assurance system composed of specialized software and hardware that provide a controlled interface to automatically enable and/or restrict access or transfer of information between two or more security domains based on predetermined security policy

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is required. BS in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Communications (technical), Physics, or similarUnderstanding of fundamental requirements development and management processesExtremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment. Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as organizational skillStrong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teamsStrong experience as a Cross Domain Solutions engineer or team lead5+ years’ experience as a CDS engineer

Desired:

Masters or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or some other related fieldExperience with SysML in Cameo and SparxEA10+ years of experience as a CDS engineer
