Position Description:

The Emergency Department NP/PA works collaboratively with Emergency Physicians and other ED NP/Pas. The ED NP/PA is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments, monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.

Requirements:

Education/Certification/Licensure Current NY State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. 5 + years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant preferred but not required BLS, ACLS, ATLS & PALS, completion of annual NIHSS and stroke CME Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role in an emergency. Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues and approaches in area of expertise. Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards. Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.

Pay Range: $88,474.00 - $150,000.00 DOE.
