Provides leadership and direction to sales teammates and teams through effective communication, setting expectations, and monitoring and driving sales results. Incumbents may also maintain an individual sales quota in addition to team management responsibilities. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Implement and monitor programs to ensure we attract, interview, hire, train, develop, and retain quality teammates 2. Effectively manage teammates including selection and hire, objective setting, performance management, development planning, capacity planning, disciplinary action, and terminations. 3. Identify and develop talented teammates who are likely to succeed in the company culture, create an atmosphere where teammates are motivated to learn and grow, provide coaching and feedback to ensure the professional development of teammates, and identify and groom teammates for advancement. 4. Effectively set and manage to teammate satisfaction and retention goals. 5. Provide direction and leadership to sales teammates and their sales teams 6. Develop strategic business plan for assigned office/team and conduct effective planning sessions 7. Develop sales strategies to increase sales metrics and sales results for the team so sales plans are achieved 8. Monitor sales results of locations and communicate results to sales teammates 9. Develop effective communication within the office/team and with other departments; establish cohesive partnerships with operations leaders and teammates 10. Ensure sales organization is promoting and cross-selling products from other lines of business, utilizing the Advanced Sales to increase average size premium, and achieving balanced performance from sales teammates 11. Develop and implement sales strategies utilizing technology, marketing, CRM, DSR, etc. 12. Identify individual selling skills and product knowledge deficiencies 13. Develop target markets and blitz sessions, follow-up on marketing efforts 14. Develop, implement, and drive an effective lead generation and referral program 15. May be responsible for individual sales quota in addition to leadership responsibilities **QUALIFICATIONS** **Required Qualifications:** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products 9. Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions 10. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization 11. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience 12. Proven record of sales results and proficiency in developing strategic sales plan and continually achieving or exceeding assigned quotas 13. Proven sales experience with life products in the insurance industry or financial services 14. Excellent prospecting, presentation and selling skills 15. Proven ability to manage, mentor, and assist senior Leaders in assessing market competition required 16. Ability to display maturity, competitiveness and good work ethic 17. Excellent life and related product knowledge 18. Must possess and maintain appropriate FINRA registrations (e.g. Series 6 and 26) **Preferred Qualifications:** 1.
