+ POSITION SUMMARY: + Under the leadership of the Surgical Services Nurse Manager , demonstrates competency in indentification, decontamination, processing and sterilization of surgical instruments. Has a thorough understanding of processing and sterilization of surgical instruments. Has a thorough understanding of processing equipment, including but not limited to, sterilizers,washer decontaminators and ultra sonic cleaner following a detailed orientation. + QUALIFICATIONS: + EDUCATION: + Minimum : + High School education or equivalent. + Preferred : + Certification as Central Sterile Technician. + LICENSE: + PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: + Minimum : + Central Sterile Technician certification requirement within 12 months of hire. + WORK EXPERIENCE: + Minimum : + Previous experience in sterile processing. + SKILLS: + Minimum : + Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Computer literacy. + Salary Range: $19.26-$21.17
