Job Description:

The Lead Insider Threat Analyst will provide subject matter expertise and lead the implementation and operation of the Insider Threat Program within the organization. This role includes collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the program's effectiveness and ensure its alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Lead and collaborate on the implementation of the Insider Threat Program.Recommend strategies to prevent potential insider threat behavior or incidents.Monitor existing policies and suggest modifications to enhance program capabilities.Collaborate with law enforcement, industry experts, and internal/external peers to enhance behavioral models and detection techniques.Create roadmaps for ongoing improvement of the Insider Threat Program.Oversee daily operations and execution of the Insider Threat Program.Develop a training curriculum for Insider Threat Program team members and conduct awareness training for employees and outside service workers.Develop and perform processes for alert evaluation, reporting, response, and remediation in collaboration with key stakeholders.Conduct analytical and critical thinking to review facts, make accurate observations, and provide recommendations/reporting.

Technical Skills:

Provide expert guidance on security issues affecting business processes exploitable by insiders.Build and implement processes and technologies to detect high-risk insider activities.Design and test reporting mechanisms and constructs for early warning detection of insider threats.Evaluate technologies to enhance detection capabilities.Coordinate with various teams to remediate identified risks.Conduct ongoing research of cyber insider threats and provide specialized intelligence and threat analysis.

Communication Skills:

Develop technical support documents, summaries, reports, and presentations.Present briefings to personnel and key stakeholders.Write clear, concise, and timely intelligence products.Conduct risk assessments, including risks to critical assets and ensure access and logging.Monitor and respond to suspicious or disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

10+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:

6+ years’ experience with security issues, vulnerabilities, regulatory and legal changes, and security standards.1+ years’ experience with Insider Threat Program and Information Security best practices.4+ years’ experience providing expert guidance on security issues.

Additional Knowledge and Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to share on-call responsibilities, work non-standard hours, and travel up to 20% when required.Project management experience.Working knowledge of network and endpoint security principles and current threat trends.Ability to adapt to rapid technological and business changes while maintaining sound judgment and problem-solving skills.Develops and implements training programs and remedial actions as necessary.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$139,000 - $231,600
