Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Drag Edit Delete Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Drag Edit Delete When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Drag Edit Delete Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Drag Edit Delete Prepares equipment and supplies. Drag Edit Delete Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Drag Edit Delete Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Drag Edit Delete Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Drag Edit Delete Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Drag Edit Delete Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Drag Edit Delete Enters, transmits and reports scan results. *Minimum Education* Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program - Required Drag Edit Delete *Required Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
