Roles and Responsibilities

Work with cross-functional team made up of  engineers, marketing, product definition, and chief engineers to define system requirements for new products and technology roadmaps Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions on new product introductions Using broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues with current products Providing domain expertise to own/lead technical design reviews, investigation of technical risks, as well as providing innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on system performance and image/signal quality. Developing requirements for key system performance parameters as they relate to image/signal quality, system safety, performance and calibration Driving system tradeoff discussions within new product developments by having a full understanding of system architecture and interfaces Investigating customer questions and complaints to provide technical answers and solutions Providing technical leadership for project execution Implementing and teaching engineering principles and standards Driving innovation for competitive technical differentiation Mentoring junior engineers in area of expertise

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field1 year of relevant academic or industry experienceProven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems through strong understanding of mathematics, physics and image/signal processing fundamentalsEffective communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and conciselyDemonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completionMust be legally authorized to work in the United States full-timeMust be willing to work in our Waukesha, WI facility full-timeMust submit application for employment through gecareers.com (or COS if internal)  to be consideredMust be 18 years of age or olderMust be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection processMust be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background
