Overview

CT Technologist 

As a CT Technologist you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures.  Every day you will review and verify physician’s orders, perform CT exams, communicate and involve patient of the diagnostic test and  start Patient IVs.

Responsibilities
Performs CT exams  Prepares equipmentEquipment and room maintenance after each procedure Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained Reviews the physician orders to verify the type of diagnostic test requested Inform patient of diagnostic procedure being performed
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Education:  High School Dioloma/GED required
Experience:  No prior experience required

Required Licensure and Certifications

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic  Technologists – ARRT (R) upon hire or transferRegistered by the American Registry of Radiologic  Technologists – ARRT (CT) within 9 months of hire or transferCertified by the state of Texas ‐ MRAD upon hire or transfer  BLS-CPR, 14 day grace period

Preferred Education and Experience

Education:  Associates Degree preferred.  
Experience:  One (1) year of experience as a radiographer or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
