Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. Our Radiology department is looking to add a CT Technologist to their dedicated team of caregivers. CT Technologists are a vital part of the team ensuring the safety of patients and providing computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels. A CT Technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. **A caregiver in this position works variable shifts.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Acquire patients chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs. + Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Maintain all aspects of the CT area including the technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation. + Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination. + Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation, contacts service if necessary. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. + Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing. + Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire: R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT). + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. + Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory.
