CT Technologist
Overview

As our CT Tech at St Joseph Medical Center ,  you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. 

Every day you’ll create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.


Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound, and/or nuclear medicine and PETThorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging orderRoutinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
Qualifications

Education/Work Experience:

Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy). One year of work experience as a CT Technologist is preferred. 

Licensure/Certification:

American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) requiredCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification requiredState of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist.CT Registration is preferred.
