Overview

As our CT Tech at CHI Williston Health,  you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. 

Every day you’ll create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities
Able to perform all CT exams within scope of practice, capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding, and knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedureAble to use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation as necessary.Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations.  Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS.Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate formsMaintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the departmentPractices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology

Required Licensure and Certifications

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Licensed by the North Dakota Society of Radiologic Technologists (RT).Certification for American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
