CT Technologist III

SUMMARY

Responsible for performing CT procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved techniques and producing quality scans for physician interpretation.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Reviews medical record for patient history and clinical data for correlation with CT

· Performs CT procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved protocol. Displays knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and/or physiological data to obtain optimal studies

· Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during procedure

· Selects technical factors and imaging mode

· Evaluates images for technical quality and prepares for physician interpretation

· Practices aseptic technique as necessary and/or universal precautions

· Operates CT equipment and monitors function of equipment. Recognizes malfunctions and needs for servicing. Takes appropriate steps to report those needs

QUALIFICATIONS

· Current ARRT certification

· Current SCRQSA license

· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
