Job Summary:

Leads the daily operations of assigned department's services.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures quality image, patient care and work flow. Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.Serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations.Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.Performs the duties of a CT Technologist.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

Associate's degree or completion of a Radiology certification program and registered in CT & Radiology


EXPERIENCE

Two years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant standing and walking.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent lifting/moving of patients.Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Rare kneeling and sitting.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS 
        Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) 

        And         ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)         And                 ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)                 Or                 ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)     Or         Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)         And         Computed Tomography (CT) Credential - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board     (NMTCB)         And                 Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)                 Or                  Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) Certification and Registration - American Registry of     Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
