CT Technologist - MSTU
Overview Performs computerized imaging, knowledge of all equipment and monitors. Assist patients and physicians as needed. Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross A minimum of one of the following license qualification/certification combinations: License qualification/certification combination 1: FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography License qualification/certification combination 2: FL DOH license qualification: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification/registration: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology OR NMTCB, AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography License qualification/certification combination 3: FL DOH license qualification: Radiation Therapy Technologist Certification/registration: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography License qualification/certification combination 4: FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, and Computed Tomography and Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A Required Experience: 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a stroke accredited facility Preferred Experience: 3 years of CT imaging experience Necessary Skills: 1. Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot. 2. Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients screening and patient limitations. 3. Registration of patient 4. IV placement and/or blood draw for POC testing 5. MSTU preparation for scan 6. Uploading and transmission of images to Visage 7. Utilizing Telemedicine system 8. Creating CD of images for patients transferring outside UF Health 9. Any other duties that can create efficiencies within the workflow 10. Utilize downtime as productively as possible 11. Participate in MSTU simulations and educational activities to promote teamwork and efficiency 12. Community outreach and education efforts to promote the MSTU program 13. Work cohesively with team to streamline and/or create efficiencies on the MSTU that improve stroke metrics and patient care 14. Stroke data entry 15. Knowledge of software and ability to troubleshoot Age of Patients Served: Adult (18-64 years) and Geriatric (greater than or equal to 65 years) Supervisory Responsibility: No Budgetary Responsibility: N/A
