We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team!

We are in search of a FT CT Tech working 7p-7a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday plus call.

 

Position Overview

We are in search of a FT CT Tech working 7p-7a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday plus call. The CT Tech assists the Radiologist on CT Guided biopsies and ensures images are of diagnostic quality and have technical quality. The CT Tech performs all CT assisted procedures and reconstructions, including patient care and handling and quality control procedures. The CT tech will also assists in the diagnostic radiography department, when needed and performs radiology services “on call” as needed.

 

Responsibilities

 

Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concernsProduces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental proceduresPerforms diagnostic imaging proceduresProcedures include, but are not limited to: all patient care and handling, quality control procedures, and all CT assisted procedures and reconstructionsEnsures images are of diagnostic quality and have technical qualityApplies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principleAssists in the diagnostic radiography department, as neededAssist other staff as needed for patient careOther duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Radiology requiredCurrent Texas Medical Board (TMB) General Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) required upon hireAmerican Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 12 months of hireAmerican Heart Association (AHA) approved course in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hireMinimum of two (2) years of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting desiredDemonstrated knowledge of technical, diagnostic, and emergency procedures related to Diagnostic Radiology and CTAbility to be on-call, including weekends and holidays
