CTS Technical Manager

Control Tower Suite (CTS) service provides an innovative solution to manage fixed broadband network build and operation as a Professional Service. Such Professional Service comes with a combination of a centralized database, automated workflow tools, M2M interfaces to Customer systems and Nokia’s global expertise in FTTx network roll out.  

To extend the activity, during pre-sales process, CTS Technical Manager will meet the customer to understand his business needs, will run convincing customer presentation / demo and will set cost notes with Business Development and will support until deal signature.  

Then, for each new project assigned, the CTS Technical Manager has the charge of meeting the customer, specify end-to-end solution and set up a process regarding the current CTS resources knowledge and tool suite. When the process is set, he will develop CTS solution architecture, create low level processes and implementation plan.

Then CTS Technical Manager will be responsible for implementation of whole solution, database and tools configuration and customization, end-to-end solution testing with local team and training of local team about whole CTS solution.

During project mass execution phase CTS Technical Manager will maintain whole CTS solution and follow all further developments and change requests.

CTS Technical Manager will have the following tasks in four domains:

Solution architecture development tasks (30% of time):

Understands and captures the critical inputs of project stakeholders and translates them into effective requirements and solutions.  Collects and analyses business / stakeholder needs to identify the content, processes and tools needed for supporting efficient end-to-end project activitiesSpecifies and designs effective end-to-end CTS solutions, through the high as well as low level design of architecture, to meet customer needsApplies solution architecture standards processes and principles, to create and maintain a solution's integrity over time, including verification that the solution meets the client’s requirementsResearches, designs, plans, develops and evaluates an effective CTS solution to meet customer’s requirements and outcomes, thanks to high as well as low level design of architectureUses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspectiveDocuments and manages CTS processes, architecture, tools landscape and maintain process repository for projects

Developments and implementation tasks (50% of time):

Accountable for development and implementation of CTS tools and process for customer projectsDevelops, configures and customize CTS tools according to low level designCreates automation scripts using CTS toolsBuilds CTS project database according to specificationCreates user interfaces for CTS tool suiteCreates CTS manuals and training materials for local teams for specific projectsPerforms training sessions for local project team about CTS solutionWorks closely with project team according to Agile model to gather feedback and implement changes in provided solutionSupports local project teams with related questions and implements changes requests during project execution phaseMonitors implemented solution and constantly looking for processes and tools improvements opportunities and automations during whole project lifecycle  

Project management tasks (10% of time):

Manages the development and implementation process of CTS service for assigned projectResponsible for CTS service implementation performance with respect to financial and operational KPIs such as cost, timelines and customer satisfactionParticipates in project planning, implementation and analytics.  Interfaces with project teams and key internal and external partnersSupports monitoring and providing required information related to the progress of CTS service deliveryCreates project implementation reports  Ensures that all documentation and information required for the project has been set up, maintained and are available to the project team and the customer

Service innovation tasks (10% of time):

Ability to use both analytical skills as well seeing the big picture, to translate development and / or whole CTS service innovation needs.  Works with substantial discretion and uses specialist knowledge, analytical skills, judgment and broad conceptual and practical experience to solve complex problems and to contribute to service improvementsLooking for and testing of new tools to support CTS service needsHelps to develop CTS service processes and way of workingQualify/define the CTS technical improvement needed for the future projects
