Responsibilities

Oversees, develops and directs all aspects of Dining Services training programs for operations for all product lines throughout the Brookdale organization. Responsible for on-going compliance and training for dining leaders and dining associates throughout the organization. Addresses dining compliance report findings to ensure improvement and reduce risk, and identifies opportunities for quality improvement and training program modification.

 

Develops, administers and oversees training programs for dining leaders and dining associates throughout the Brookdale organization as needed.Validates compliance of new hire dining associates and ongoing training plans provided by Dining Services. Develops and communicates compliance reporting for all new and current dining leaders, and recommends action planning based on compliance results.Partners with Learning and Development to develop and execute strategic training plans and validation tools for dining services, standard methodology and to ensure effectiveness of training programs.Works with strategic partners to implement and manage compliance improvement and performance against KPIs for food and beverage programs.Maintains a working knowledge of community, district and divisional operations management.Consults with various departments on developmental program needs, which may include pre-employment assessment and testing, employee orientation, front-line management education and other learning initiatives.Responsible for succession planning and management development programs for all product lines.Supports, in responding directly or through delegates, to all training inquiries (phone, mail, email, etc.) from internal and external customers or compliance-related questions including but not limited to, Crandall and state surveys, Qualtrics surveys on NPS and Overall Food rating.Oversees associate surveys and implements action-planning activities based on results, as needed.Assists Dining Support team members with projects, help desk inquiries, reports, etc. as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in food service or hospitality management required. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in the food service industry, including at least three of those years in a leadership role overseeing food service operations, including quality and compliance. Experience to include onboarding and training of food service associates.

 

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Current ServSafe Certification required. Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.

Management/Decision Making
Makes analytical decisions and is accountable for all actions made by a department or group. Uses a high degree of analytical ability using sound judgment acquired through significant experience to solve complex and varied problems that could result in substantial loss of reputation.

 

Knowledge and Skills
Has significant knowledge of an advanced discipline with a working knowledge of related fields. Has significant knowledge of the organization, work environment and process. Has knowledge to direct multiple functions and/or departments with full responsibility for operational results. Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local regulations regarding the safety of food preparation and handling.
