Job Responsibilities
Supervisory: Manages the selection, training, development and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for BLC-G. Ability to develop and facilitate growth within the department, relate professionally and positively to living community and departmental staff and to work cooperatively with others at all levels, and to give regular performance feedback. Willingness to fill-in shifts & work alongside culinary staff to assure a strong team effort. Ability to work independently with organizational skills, to prioritize tasks and to exercise judgment consistent with core values. Ability to model effective communications between elders, family, staff, and community. Must be able to identify potentially unsafe situations and to respond appropriately. Responsible for financial viability for department, to include development, management and accountability of budgets. Responsible to know, implement and assure compliance to State, & Federal regulations and BHS policies and procedures. Other duties: Completes all other duties as assigned. Oversees and maintains a safe and sanitary environment.Manages and oversee efficient operations to maximize resident satisfaction including oversight of the culinary budget. QualificationsQualifications Required:
Completion of an approved food safety sanitation course and certification where applicable.
